A Campaign Strategy to “BRING 100 AFGHAN FAMILIES”
INTRODUCTION
As you are aware and closely follow the news, the Taliban, contrary to what they had promised to the international community, has increased their attacks inside the cities and districts in Afghanistan. In recent weeks, a number of human rights organizations have questioned whether the Trudeau administration can rescue people from Taliban in Afghanistan without creating further crisis. The situation is challenging. Now that the international forces have left Afghanistan. The concern rises about executions of Hazara activists, especially journalists and peace workers who worked bravely to promote human rights for all.
Afghan crisis puts our common humanity to the test
Objective: The “Bring 100 Afghan families to Canada” is an advocacy campaign aims that is a concerted effort to tie media exposure, public support, and government action together into a single strategy aimed to at raising public awareness to bring 100 Afghan families of advocates, journalists, and peace workers within six months to Canada.
Many, fearing for their lives, remain behind and journalists, activists, peace workers and their families are especially visible and vulnerable to the current safety risks. The challenge is not for them — it is for Canadians. How to find inspiration and reason and energy to reach halfway around the world and help.
“Moral obligations are those which involve a difference of belief and not a matter of preference. They are not based on reason or logic.”

WHY WILL YOU JOIN?
This campaign is initiated from Justice for All (JFA) Canada when a group of journalists from Afghanistan approached to JFA for help. JFA is an advocacy organization with Consultative Status in Canada and Toronto based registered non-profit organization, with staff and volunteers all over the country. The organization, which was incorporated in 1999, grew out of advocacy efforts on the human rights abuses experienced in different countries of the world. At the Justice for All, we partner with Journalists for Human Rights (JHR), working with a coalition of journalists, human rights and media freedom organizations to safely evacuate journalists from Afghanistan.
