OUR THOUGHTS FOR THE ROHINGYA

  • There is not much room to socially distance for the Rohingya in refugee camps. Everyone waits in long lines for water, food rations and other essential services. It will be a massive disaster for our community if the virus spread there.

  • Access to clean water is also an issue. Mobile hand-washing stations are being set up across the camp to encourage hand-washing, but it not enough to prevent the outbreak. Thanks to the youth who make it happened.

  • Rohingya refugees have been banned from using the internet and mobile phones since 2019. During a pandemic, people without access to such communications channels lose out on vital information needed for informed decision-making.
