Meeting With Foreign Minister
On behalf of Canadian Rohingya Development Initiative- Honored to have had the opportunity to spend time today with our Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland. A critical discussion regarding the plight of the Rohingya people, and those suffering from conflict and persecution around the world.
A reminder that foreign affairs issues globally do impact us as individuals. Our experience of the world, and others’ perception of us, impacts the well-being, health and mental health of our children, youth, and marginalized communities – As Canadians we hope to see commitments and actions based on shared common values of good will unto others and protection of human rights reflected in how Canada acts on the world stage.
Canada is the first western country talked to Military general Min Aung Hlaing regarding Rohingya crisis in Arakan. Hope many more to see from Canadian Government.
